Number PDF Pages

Number PDF Pages stamps a page number onto every page of your document. Pick the position (top or bottom, left, center, or right), the starting number, and whether to include the total (e.g. "Page 3 of 20"). Skip cover pages or front matter if you want.

Frequently asked questions

Can I skip the first few pages?

Yes. Use the "Skip first" option to leave covers, title pages, or tables of contents unnumbered.

Can I show "Page X of Y"?

Yes. Use the format {n} of {total} — {n} is replaced by the page number and {total} by the total page count.

Does this overwrite existing page numbers?

No, it only adds a new number on top of the existing page. If the PDF already has page numbers rendered into the content, those will still be there — reformat the source before adding new ones.
